Mother and child sessions

There's no milestone required for this one. Motherhood sessions are simply you and your children, whenever you want to remember how this stage felt. We can shoot at home in the middle of an ordinary afternoon, or outdoors somewhere you love in the Hills District, and you'll get a private gallery of mum and child photos to keep.

Motherhood photography that puts you in the frame

Motherhood is made up of moments so ordinary that you don't think to photograph them. The cuddles. The tiny hand that reaches for yours. The way they climb into your lap as though it belongs to them.

And yet, when you scroll back through your camera roll, how many of those moments have you in them?

Almost always the same answer. Not many. Because you're the one holding the phone.

I hear it from nearly every mum I photograph. "I'm always the one taking the photos, so there's barely any of me with them." I understand it completely, because I'm a mum in the thick of it myself.

That's exactly what this session is for.

It's you and your children. No partner, no audience, and no need for anyone to behave or perform. We slow down, we talk, we play, and for a while you just get to be their mum while I quietly photograph it.

You won't be posing. You'll be doing what you already do every day, and I'll catch the parts you never get to see, because you're always in the middle of them.

Years from now, when they're too big to climb into your lap, these will be the photographs that take you straight back.

This beautiful mum and baby enjoyed an autumn morning with me at Castle Hill Heritage Park. We spent the morning playing, exploring and admiring all the little details that make her baby so wonderfully unique. From the curious little expressions to the cuddles and moments in between, it was such a joy to be seeing their connection and her baby's growing personality.

This sweet duo spent a lovely afternoon with me in Beaumont Hills. We played games, explored and had plenty of fun together, using play to help him feel comfortable and naturally capture those beautiful moments with his mum. He was full of personality, and the connection between them was so special to photograph. The magic happened when I let him just be himself.
