Hi, I'm Jorisca. (It's pronounced You-Risk-a)


You risk a moment, or you don't. You either have someone there to catch it, or it's gone.


Motherhood is a blur. I know, because I'm in it. A busy toddler and a baby, sticky hands, "I just cleaned that" chaos, and those quiet, fleeting moments of connection you'd give anything to bottle.


I'm here to bottle them for you.

My journey with the camera started at 21, but my story as a photographer really began in the classroom. Years as a primary school teacher taught me how to find the magic in the mayhem, how to read a room of small people in about four seconds, and how to wait for the moment a child forgets there's a camera there for that beautiful candid magic. It is still the most useful thing I know.

I don't just take photos of children. I speak their language.

Whether we're exploring a hidden gem in the Hills District or a place that holds a special meaning for you, my goal doesn't change. Your story, unfiltered and honest.

Let's skip the stiff poses. Bring the hugs, the laughs, and even the uncooperative energy. I promise, that's where the beauty lives.


A ticket back in time

We often think of photos as decorations for our walls. I see them as time machines.

There will come a day, years from now, when the house is quiet and your children aren't so little anymore. On that day, when you'd give anything for just one more round of sticky handprints and toddler giggles, I want these photographs to be your way back.


I want you to remember being so in love, that joyful feeling of finding your person. The birthday parties, the big milestones, and the entirely ordinary afternoons in between. The weight of your loved ones in your arms. The smell of the sun on their hair.
