Family Sessions

Family sessions, outdoors somewhere in the Hills District or at home if that suits you better. Everyone is welcome, from babies to grandparents, and I photograph children of any age and any temperament. You'll receive a private online gallery, and I'll help you with what to wear beforehand.

Family photography that feels like your family


Family photos don't need to be perfect. Honestly, the ones I love most rarely are. They're the cuddles, the chaos, the silly faces, the little hand that finds yours without even looking. The way your children look at you when they don't know you're watching.


I spent years as a primary school teacher before photography took over, which means I've never met a child I couldn't win over. We play, we explore, we walk, we cuddle, we stop for snacks, and we let them lead when they need to. If your toddler wants to run laps, we run laps. If your baby needs a feed, we stop and you feed them.


My job is to give you space to simply be together. As your family photographer, I'll guide you when you need it and step back when it's already happening on its own.


Whether we're exploring a beautiful outdoor location in the Hills District or settling into the comfort of your own home, you'll get a gallery that feels like yours.


Because one day you'll want to remember how this felt, not just how it looked. One day, these ordinary little moments will be the ones you miss the most.

We met in a little paperbark forest in Beaumont Hills, right on sunset. We let the toddler lead the session, taking lots of breaks, playing and letting the session unfold naturally. No pressure to smile, but capturing the sweetest moments along the way.

This family session took place at sunset at Balmoral beach. We spent the afternoon exploring, running through the sand and taking plenty of time for cuddles. With two little ones who weren't particularly interested in sitting still for photographs, we followed their lead and let the session unfold around them. The result was a collection of images that feels like them, playful, connected and completely in the moment.

An extended family session at Rouse Hill Regional Park, with a lot of little people to navigate. We made sure the big group photo happened, but the ones I love are the smaller ones. Cousins playing together. Grandchildren with their grandma. Great-grandma in the middle of it all. When that many generations are in one place, the group shot is only part of the story.

Children's photographer in the Hills District


I photograph children from newborns through to big school kids who might rather be anywhere else.

Every family session includes individual portraits of each child, as well as the photos of everyone together. Those are always taken with you right there, since I don't photograph children on their own.

Morning is usually the best time for little ones, when everyone's fresh and the light is soft. The second best time is after a nap, and we talk about your schedule before you're all booked in. For older kids, late afternoon works beautifully, especially somewhere open with space to run.

A few things that genuinely help:

Keep their outfits comfortable rather than precious.

Bring their favourite toy if it settles them.

And please don't tell them to be good, because that part is my job, and I will make the session fun for them.

If you're marking something specific, a birthday, a new sibling, the first day of school, mention it when you book. Those are some of the loveliest sessions I photograph.
